So you’ve got your passport, you’ve taken care of any vaccines you may need; you’ve booked your flight so now what?
Tip # 1 Decide beforehand how much shopping you’ll be doing. Save plenty of room for return trip items even little keepsakes and souvenirs take up space. With that being said you’ll want to pack clothing pieces that complement each other so that you can and match outfits. In my experience it has been best to travel using only a carry on suitcase and a backpack purse. *Pack as light a possible*
Tip #2 When traveling abroad check the host countries electricity output & purchase travel adapters/converters. Universal travel adapters are the best option.
Tip # 3 Pack only TSA approved containers for your liquids! I can’t stress this enough it makes going through security checks a breeze. You can purchase these containers separately or in travel kits at great prices. Never pack anything in your checked luggage that you don’t want to loose. Luggage is lost everyday trust me!
Tip#4 When traveling abroad take some time before your trip to study the culture, traditions, and laws of your host country. This includes familiarizing yourself with a few key phrases and your host countries currency rates. There are several apps that convert USD to just about any currency you can think of! I highly recommend you download a currency exchange app prior to your departure date.
Tip #5 Plan your activities ahead of time. You’ll want to have a schedule and stick to it as much as possible. You can book activities through your travel agent, websites like expedia, or even through your hotel.
Bonus Tip Relax, have fun, and take plenty of pictures 🙂
