I have oily skin. I feel like I just confessed something that was secret lol. It’s no secret you can see from most of my pictures that I have a dewy glow aka oily skin 😃
I used to hate it with a passion but I’ve learned that its not so bad it’s like having a natural moisturizer on 24/7. But, it can cause some heartache when trying to keep my make up fresh all day. I’ve learned a few things over the years that really help, wanna hear them okay here they go (karma points for anyone who can guess that TV show reference.)
I should add that these products work with or without make up and I use them on the days I don’t wear any make up just to keep the shine under control.
I’m a fan of serums! The key is finding the ones that work best for your skin type. I have oily acne prone skin. I need something that doesn’t dry out my skin and fights acne. I use Apple Rose Beauty’s Hyaluronic Acid Vitamin C Super Serum during the day and Be Natural Organics BHA (Beta Hydroxy Acid) Serum at night.
Moisturizer is a must
even especially if you have oily skin. Adding a gel based moisturizer to your routine is legit life changing, well I’m being dramatic but you get my meaning. I love and swear by NaturalAnnie Essentials Face Gel. This is an aloe based gel that adds moisture and softness like a dream come true. If you’d like to try it check it out HERE and using code KEISHA10 can save you some money!
I’ve not always been a fan of primers. I think you have to find one that really works well with your routine. This one is perfect for me! From Sundos an organic evening primrose face primer. I feel like the arrowroot powder and kaolin clay really help with excess oil absorption. * not a vegan product as it does contain bees wax*
Misting the face is so refreshing! I’ve been using this Pineapple Flower oil-free matte mist with pineapple and hyaluronic acid to for about 3 months now. I really enjoy it and I like that it was the added benefit of, again, hyaluronic acid.
So there you have it my tips on keeping your skin nice and fresh all day with or without make up. Have you used any of these products? Drop your skin care tips in the comments!
