I eat a plant based diet and when I stick with fresh fruits and vegetables bypassing the processed meat alternatives I feel much better. I’m consistently trying to make healthy food choices. I notice how much better I feel both physically and mentally when I eat fresh foods.
You probably saw this one coming. Moving your body is so important to your mental wellbeing! This could be going for a walk, hiking, running, yoga, weight training, I mean the list goes on the key is just move your body!
I will continue to shout the benefits of mindfulness from the rooftops. The simple act of focusing on the present moment acknowledging your feelings physically and mentally without judgement is low key liberating. I’ll be sure to share a list of mindfulness exercises here soon!
Make space for yourself in the morning! Before you check your phone take some time to check in, how are you feeling? Set some intentions for the day, pray, meditate, or just be for a few moments before your start your day.
Journaling has become one of my go to methods of release. I can write down every single feeling, thought, idea, i scream on paper, i cry on paper, i cuss on paper lol! I encourage you to consider journaling even if you don’t write a page daily you can make notes whenever you feel the need. It truly helps!
i hope you’ve found this helpful in some way, and if you already have a wellness toolbox drop a comment! share some of the tools you’re using to stay mentally fit.
